Inheritance (Talks With My Father) by Fedna Jacquet

written by Fedna Jacquet '16

directed by Megan Sandberg-Zakian

In order to follow their ailing father’s wishes, Inheritance follows three siblings as they travel from their comfortable lives in The States to their long abandoned childhood home in Haiti. Once there, they are drawn into a game of remembering the past that explodes into a deadly confrontation with the secrets they thought were long hidden in the ground. The spiritual land of Haiti becomes a fertile ground and living conduit to the wretched past as well as the ignorant present. We watch five characters fight to reach a future, but not all survive.
